Job summary

Tessera is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm System Mechanic III in Silverdale, WA to maintain and repair high‑level fire protection systems on a government contractor site. The role requires NICET III certification, BAT certification, 5+ years of Fire Alarm experience, and the ability to obtain security clearances.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Fire Alarm Systems.
• Must obtain and maintain NICET III certification.
• BAT (Backflow Assembly Tester) certification required.
• Backflow specialty plumber (PL30) preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain required clearances.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect building water-based fire protection systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on fire protection systems including Deluge, Low-Expansion Foam, Pre-Action, Dry, Water Mist and Water Spray, and related components.
• Adjust, repair, or replace leaky joints, pipes, valves, and other equipment to maintain proper operation.
• Operate and maintain associated systems like compressors, nitrogen generators, and vacuum air systems.
• Read and interpret drawings and maps; maintain maintenance records.
