Job summary

IAP World Services, an Intrepid Global Solutions company, seeks a Fire Alarm and Suppression Technician to inspect, service, and repair fire alarm systems and suppression equipment for facilities in Maryland and surrounding areas.

Required NICET Certification (Level III or IV) and a minimum of five years in the fire protection/life-safety industry. Candidates must read and interpret system design plans and hold an active Top Secret SCI W/ CI Poly clearance.

Qualifications

• NICET Level III or IV certification is required.
• Minimum five years in fire protection or life safety.
• Must be able to read and interpret design plans and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, maintain, and repair fire alarm and suppression systems.
• Identify hazards and determine necessary repairs.
• Ensure work complies with NFPA and UFC codes.
• Develop procedures to prevent defective services from recurring.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
