Job summary

Century Fire Protection in Augusta, GA is seeking a seasoned Fire Alarm Installer Lead to supervise a crew, install, modify, and commission fire alarm systems, and ensure safety, on-time delivery, and code compliance on each site. You will read drawings, mount devices, perform wiring and testing, and mentor junior technicians.

NICET certification is preferred; a high school diploma is required. This full-time on-site role supports project teams with strong emphasis on quality and safety across

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 4–7 years of fire alarm installation experience.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and installation practices.
• Ability to read blueprints, riser diagrams, and wiring schematics.
• NICET or other fire alarm certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation of fire alarm systems including panels, devices, power supplies, and wiring.
• Read, interpret, and execute work based on drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Perform device mounting, wiring, terminations, labeling, and system programming support.
• Conduct system testing, pre-testing, and commissioning prior to AHJ inspections.
• Troubleshoot issues, verify operation, and correct deficiencies.
• Supervise and direct installers on job sites and assign daily tasks.
• Train and mentor less experienced technicians; complete daily reports and material usage documentation.
