This position is responsible for performing building fire alarm inspections, including testing devices, recording and generating results, and providing reports. Duties include assisting the Lead Inspector and/or Inspection Manager in collecting data and generating necessary paperwork such as Fire Alarm Inspection Reports, Quick Reports, and Inspection Certificates.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all inspections are completed timely, accurately, and thoroughly.
  • Test all building fire alarm control panels, devices, and functions, and record results using the Palm handheld device.
  • Download information and generate completed Fire Alarm Inspection Reports after inspections.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education/Qualifications:
  • College degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent acceptable with relevant experience.
  • Study and stay current with NFPA standards, code requirements, and industry changes; obtain NICET certifications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; customer service oriented.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a team environment.
  • Fire alarm experience is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with test equipment like multi-meters, battery analyzers, sound level meters, and communication devices.
  • Good networking PC skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Palm OS.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work sites.
  • Punctuality is critical for scheduling tests prior to tenant arrivals.
Other Duties:
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Safety Policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
  • Work in industrial, commercial, and residential environments with moderate to high noise levels; comfortable working at heights.
  • Physically demanding role involving standing, walking stairs, and climbing ladders.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to use phone and computer throughout the day.

Pay Range: $25/hr - $40/hr based on experience.

Anticipated close date: 6/15/25.
