Position: Senior FIPS 140 Security Engineer
Location: Columbia, MD or 100% Remote

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of FIPS 140 requirements
• Understanding of cryptographic algorithms, PKI, random number generators, etc.
• Experience with programming languages (C, C++, Python, Java)
• Ability to interpret and apply security standards
• Knowledge of security protocols (SSH, IPsec, TLS)
• Experience with testing environments and technical reporting
• CVP Certified Tester
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with VHDL, Verilog
• Debugging skills (GDB, WinDBG, Visual Studio)
• Entropy source analysis
• Knowledge of OpenSSL/OpenPGP
• Vulnerability analysis and penetration testing
• Security principles and best practices
• Strong English skills
• Related certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE)
• Knowledge of Active Directory and Linux
• Experience with oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.
• Understanding of X.509 certificates and protocols like OCSP
• Networking setup and routing knowledge

Education & Experience:

BS degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience.

Position Details:

• Salary Range: $68.95 - $73.95/hr

Final salary depends on responsibilities, experience, education, skills, location, and market conditions.
