Senior FIPS 140 Security Engineer - REMOTE

Columbia, MD or 100% Remote

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of FIPS 140 requirements
• Understanding of cryptographic algorithms, PKI, random number generators, etc.
• Experience with programming languages (C, C++, Python, Java)
• Ability to interpret and apply security standards
• Knowledge of security protocols (SSH, IPsec, TLS)
• Experience in testing environments and technical reporting
• CVP Certified Tester
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with VHDL, Verilog, debugging tools
• Entropy source analysis, OpenSSL/OpenPGP knowledge
• Vulnerability analysis, security principles, certifications (CCNA, JNCIA, etc.)
• Experience with Active Directory, Linux, network setup

Requirements:

BS degree and 4-8 years relevant experience.

Position Details:

• Salary: $68.95 - $73.95/hr
