A leading financial services company seeks an experienced Financial Reporting Analyst to join its Corporate FP&A team. You will play a key role in delivering financial modeling, reporting, and operational analysis, while also improving efficiency in reporting processes. What’s the role?
Bloomberg’s Corporate FP&A team works hand-in-hand with Finance senior leadership and our CFO teams to provide critical reporting to the Management Committee and Board of Directors.
We are evolving our Finance function and leveraging Finance Transformation as a tool to advance our output to Bloomberg and are seeking an experienced professional to join the team. As a key contributor, you will have the opportunity to drive change while delivering a unique blend of financial and operational analysis, financial modeling, reporting, and senior management support for a fast-paced and pioneering technology-based financial services business.
We’ll trust you to:
Lead the financial reporting and analysis process, including clear and easy-to-follow report preparation to check the source of numbers and mitigate errors
Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of existing reporting processes, and propose and implement improvements to streamline the collection, use, analysis, and presentation of data
Utilize strong report automation skills to pull together multiple data sources for report production efficiency and better data analytics.
Learn current models, identify inconsistencies and optimize, where possible, existing business unit/account structures and standard allocation practices
Project management skills and experience to organize tasks to implement firm wide changes and adhere to timelines set by management
Communicate with executive level stakeholders (Finance senior management and CFO teams) on the financial results, performance vs. targets, and insights on key variances on a regular basis
Work independently to manage multiple deliverables at once
You’ll need to have:
10+ years of experience in financial reporting and analysis
BA/BS in Finance or related field
Deep knowledge of SAP and/or Oracle EPM or similar financial reporting and performance management systems
Ability to identify problems, understand the root cause, make recommendations and drive to a solution
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes of issues and projects
Experience carrying out complex work with autonomy and make decisions within scope of responsibilities
We’d love to see:
Degree in a quantitative subject: Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics
Experience in financial services or a financial data provider industry a strong plus
Flexibility to work in an entrepreneurial and fast-moving environment
Familiarity with the Bloomberg terminal is useful, but not required
Experience with Alteryx highly preferred
