About

The incumbent will create and manage the customer experience by determining the types of accounts and/or services needed to meet their individual financial needs. They will drive sales through service by developing a positive customer experience and proactively seeking ways to build and expand customer relationships to contribute to the organization’s success. This customer-facing role involves assisting customers with routine and complex financial transactions, including opening accounts, deposits, withdrawals, loan applications, and cross-selling services like credit cards, investments, insurance, and IRAs. The role emphasizes quality customer interactions rooted in Citadel Class Service principles (Accuracy, Value, Respect, and Convenience) to establish trust and position Citadel as the best banking choice.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Demonstrate courtesy and efficiency, exceeding expectations and applying Citadel’s Class Service Principles.
  2. Recognize opportunities to promote or sell Citadel’s products and services to meet sales goals.
  3. Accurately perform financial transactions, including cash handling with various technologies.
  4. Add value through consultative services to meet individual financial goals.
  5. Service customers via multiple channels, including in-person, outbound calls, inbound call center, and community events.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with business partners and departments to maximize sales.
  7. Ensure operational and financial safety through sound decision-making.
  8. Adhere to operational compliance, security policies, and applicable laws.
  9. Understand industry trends, scams, and risks affecting customers and the organization.
  10. Interact professionally and respectfully with co-workers, management, customers, and vendors.
  11. Meet SAFE Act requirements, including background checks and NMLS registration.
  12. Complete annual BSA training and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
  13. Work Saturdays as required.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education
  • 2+ years of sales and face-to-face customer service experience required; 3+ years preferred.
  • Prior financial industry experience preferred.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • NMLS registration preferred.
  • Notary preferred.
  • Proficiency with PC and multiple software applications.
  • Strong communication, judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop business organically and work effectively in a team.
  • Self-motivated with accountability for achieving goals.
  • Knowledge of Citadel products (mortgages, auto loans, home equity).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Additional Information

Performance metrics will be set annually based on corporate goals. The work environment is moderate noise, with demands that may vary. Physical demands include sitting, standing, talking, hearing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds. Community events may occur in various locations.
