Job summary

Hilltop Holdings seeks a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to lead the preparation, analysis, and filing of external financial reports and regulatory filings. You will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP, SEC rules, and Federal Reserve requirements.

The role serves as a technical resource for accounting research, disclosures, and new guidance adoption. Collaboration across units and process improvements are key to this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in SEC reporting and/or bank regulatory reporting is preferred.
• Knowledge of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and SOX compliance is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely filings of Federal Reserve regulatory reports (e.g., FR Y-9C, Call Report).
• Prepare quarterly and annual SEC reporting (Form 10-Q/10-K) and related disclosures.
• Collaborate with Technology and Finance teams to improve regulatory reporting processes.
• Analyze data from core systems and spreadsheets to support recommendations and automation.
• Support internal controls and audit readiness for regulatory reports.
