Financial Services Firm (Publicly Traded), a technology-forward company, seeks a Senior Financial Reporting & Analytics Analyst to support financial reporting, accounting, and data analysis across a growing finance organization.

Must have a Big 4/Public Accounting background, financial services and SEC reporting experience; CPA or CPA track is highly preferred. The role is hybrid in NYC, offering a path to strengthen processes and drive insights through data visualization and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Analytics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, audit, financial reporting, FP&A, or finance transformation.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with large datasets.
• Experience supporting SEC financial reporting and business analytics initiatives.
• Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or other BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Support internal and external financial reporting activities with timely delivery of reporting packages.
• Prepare recurring management reports, dashboards, and analyses for decision-making.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and explain variances.
• Work with large datasets from multiple sources to improve reporting accuracy and transparency.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards using BI platforms.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting and audit support.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance, technology, and operations teams to improve data quality.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process efficiencies.
• Support reporting system implementations and finance transformation projects.
• Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects as needed.

Our client, a publicly traded technology-forward financial services firm, is are seeking a Senior Financial Reporting & Analytics Analyst to support financial reporting, accounting, and data analysis initiatives across a growing finance organization. This role will work closely with accounting, reporting, and finance leaders to deliver meaningful insights, improve reporting capabilities, and help strengthen financial processes and controls. The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting, combined with the ability to analyze large datasets and leverage reporting tools to drive business insights. Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Analytics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, audit, financial reporting, FP&A, finance transformation, or a related function
• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and reporting processes
• Experience supporting SEC financial reporting, management reporting, and/or business analytics initiatives
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
• Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or other reporting and business intelligence tools preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data reconciliation skills
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• CPA or progress toward a CPA designation is a plus
