Job summary

Prairie Consulting Services is seeking a Senior Consultant – Financial Reporting with deep experience in U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and asset management fund statements to support annual and semiannual reporting and audits.

You will review fund financial statements, coordinate notes for shareholder reports, manage reporting cycles and deadlines, and serve as a technical resource on derivatives and new investment products while partnering with auditors and clients.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of recent financial reporting experience in asset management or related services.
• 3+ years of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, ASC 815 & ASC 820.
• Deep working knowledge of derivatives.
• Experience with fund financial statements and SEC reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with Global InvestOne, Bloomberg, or financial reporting systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review fund financial statements and schedules of investments for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate and draft financial statement notes for annual and semiannual shareholder reports.
• Manage reporting cycles, audit deadlines, and client deliverables.
• Support SEC filings and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Serve as a technical resource on GAAP, derivatives, and new investment products.
• Partner with auditors, clients, and internal teams to resolve reporting questions and issues.
• Review staff work and provide guidance on financial reporting matters.
