A financial services company in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a candidate for a newly created role focused on Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting. The ideal applicant will have a BS Degree in Accounting, CPA certification preferred, and over 4 years of experience including a Senior role in Public Accounting. Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience, including having been a Senior in Public Accounting.
• Some Technical Accounting research experience.
• Must have the ability to independently review various areas.
• Ideally Inventory (ASC 330) or Revenue (ASC 606)
• Participate in Business Combinations (ASC 805)
• Must have the ability to pick up various areas of expertise for review independently, without needing a lot of hand holding
• Contract review experience

Responsibilities

• Handle Consolidations and Eliminations of Division Financial results.
• Participate in Financial Reporting that rolls to parent company.
• Provide Technical Accounting guidance to locations.
• 50% Technical Accounting: Purchase accounting and advise to divisions on various technical accounting needs
• Contract Review for Technical Accounting judgementals for revenue and inventory
• Provide Technical Accounting guidance to locations
