Job summary

QTS Realty Trust seeks a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to prepare consolidated and stand-alone financial statements, footnotes and disclosures for external reporting under US GAAP. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external auditors to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

The role supports debt compliance reporting, audit coordination, controls over financial reporting, and ad hoc requests.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of accounting/financial reporting experience.
• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or Business Management with emphasis in Accounting.
• CPA/MBA or Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated and stand-alone financial statements, footnotes and disclosures for external reporting under US GAAP.
• Assist in debt compliance reporting and covenant calculations for lenders.
• Coordinate annual audits with external auditors.
• Apply accounting concepts and reporting experience to resolve questions efficiently.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Establish and maintain controls over financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Support ad hoc financial reporting requests as needed.

WHO YOU ARE:The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is primarily responsible for the preparation of QTS’ consolidated financial statement reporting as well as lender compliance reporting. This individual will collaborate across departments and with external auditors, gaining broad exposure to the Company’s operations. This position reports to the Director, Financial Reporting.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Prepare financial statements (both QTS consolidated and stand-alone entities), footnotes, and related disclosures for external reporting purposes, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP.Assist in the preparation of the Company’s debt compliance reporting to ensure all required financial information and covenant calculations are provided accurately and timely to lending institutions.Assist in the coordination of annual audit activities of external auditors.Use accounting concepts, reporting experience, and analytical skills to resolve questions/issues in efficient and effective ways.Proactively identify issues and areas for process improvement, including automation, to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Establish and maintain effective controls over financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of reported financial information.Support ad hoc financial reporting requests as needed.WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or Business Management with an emphasis in AccountingTwo or more years of relevant accounting and/or financial reporting experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:CPAMaster's degree in Accounting, Finance or MBAThree or more years of relevant accounting and/or financial reporting experienceExperience in public accounting at a Big 4 firmExperience with financial reporting platforms such as Wdesk#LI-LS1We conform to all the laws, statutes, and regulations concerning equal employment opportunities and affirmative action.
