Here’s an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA with a couple of years’ post qualification experience to join a high quality listed business based in South Manchester. Applicants moving from either Practice or Industry are welcome.

The business has experienced robust double digit growth in Revenue and Profit for more than 10 years. In the last 4 years alone its market value has more than trebled. Ongoing expansion has driven the need for a further permanent role in the Finance team.

This role focuses on reporting, both internally and externally, and is involved in developing financial, strategic and ESG reporting, and ensuring compliance with new regulations.

The role offers the opportunity to join the Group’s high calibre finance team working within a hybrid working model (3 days on site)

The Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the role encompasses

• Internal Reporting: Monthly consolidated Income and Balance Sheet statements and Cashflow, Board Reports and technical accounting papers
• External Reporting: Support Group FC with year end and half year reporting, preparation of consolidated and subsidiary financial statements
• ESG and Regulatory reporting and compliance
• Audit: Assist Group FC with year end and half year audit process
• VAT: Review of quarterly VAT returns
• Tax: Working with external tax advisors in preparing and reviewing group tax figures

The Candidate

• Practice trained ACA or ACCA with at least 1 year post qualification experience from either practice or industry
• Strong problem-solving ability & a pro-active can-do attitude
• Ability to work accurately under pressure to meet deadlines
• Capable of building relationships with financial and non-financial colleagues
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and critical thinking skills
• Adaptable, flexible, and able to pick up new concepts quickly
