Job summary

Gulfport Energy Corporation in Oklahoma City seeks a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to support the preparation and review of financial statements, SEC filings, and related schedules. You will participate in technical accounting research, SOX controls, and reporting improvements.

The role requires 3+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience, with preference for oil & gas industry exposure and CPA licensure progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA license preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience.
• Oil & Gas experience in accounting preferred.
• Experience with financial reporting, consolidation, or oil and gas ERP systems preferred.
• CPA eligibility or progress toward licensure is viewed favorably.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, SEC filings, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support technical accounting research and implementation of new standards.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual close and disclosures.
• Ensure SOX controls documentation and testing related to financial reporting.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Tax, Finance and Operations to ensure consistency of reporting.
• Respond to internal and external audit requests and provide analysis as needed.
• Prepare special reports and analytical reviews as requested.
