Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000 Base Salary + Annual Bonus

About the Opportunity
A growing, private equity-backed engineering organization with $300-400M in revenue is seeking a highly analytical and business-oriented finance leader to join its team. This is a high-visibility role that will partner closely with executive leadership to drive strategic decision-making, financial planning, and business performance. The ideal candidate combines exceptional financial modeling expertise with proven leadership and supervisory experience, and is comfortable presenting complex financial insights to senior stakeholders.
This position offers an opportunity to influence company strategy, mentor a growing team, and work directly with executive leadership on forecasting, long-range planning, acquisitions, and operational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong experience with financial modeling & maintaining financial models is required
- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across multiple business units.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support strategic planning, capital investments, acquisitions, and growth initiatives.
- Perform scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, and profitability assessments to support executive decision-making.
- Analyze financial results and key performance metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
Strategic Business Partnership
- Partner with senior leadership to evaluate business performance and support organizational growth strategies.
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
- Support strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, market expansion, and investment opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on financial and operational matters.
Executive Reporting & Presentations
- Prepare and deliver executive-level reporting packages, dashboards, and presentations.
- Present financial analyses, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Translate complex financial data into clear business insights for both financial and non-financial audiences.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of FP&A and finance professionals.
- Provide coaching, performance management, and career development support to direct reports.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and accountability.
- Help establish best practices for financial planning, reporting, and analytics processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or related financial leadership roles.
- Advanced financial modeling experience, including forecasting, budgeting, valuation, and scenario analysis.
- Prior leadership experience with direct supervisory responsibility for finance and/or accounting staff.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to confidently interact with senior leadership.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting tools.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting private equity-backed organizations is a plus.
