Job summary

Ball Corporation in Westminster, CO is seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to support the NCA FP&A team on metal and ODM spend reporting and analysis. You will help develop and monitor systems for direct materials planning and costing activities.

Responsibilities include forecasting metal purchase costs, monthly closing, tariff analysis, and ensuring master data aligns with reporting requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
  • 3–7 years minimum experience in relevant role.
  • Familiarity with financial statement analysis including cash flows.
  • Proficiency in advanced spreadsheet functions.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication with suppliers, banks, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze metal cost scenarios.
  • Forecast balance sheet and cash flow for metal purchases.
  • Month-end variance analysis of forecasted metal costs vs. actuals.
  • Manage metal-related monthly closing and reporting for the NCA division.
  • Tariffs monitoring, analysis and reporting for NCA division.
  • Ensure direct materials master data aligns with reporting design; onboard suppliers for supplier financing programs.
  • Support GBS in overdue management and payment terms with metal and ODM suppliers.

Primary Purpose of Position:

Responsible for supporting the NCA FP&A team on metal and ODM spend reporting and analysis. Participates and supports development, implementation and monitoring of systems and processes that supports direct materials planning and costing activities.

Essential Responsible Areas:

  • Analysis on various metal cost scenarios
  • Balance sheet and cash flow forecasting: responsible for forecasting metal purchase costs and metal accounts payable
  • Month end variance analysis of forecasted metal purchase costs and accounts payable to actual results
  • Responsible for metal related monthly closing and reporting activities for NCA division
  • Tariffs monitoring, analysis and reporting for NCA division
  • Ensures direct materials master data is in line with system design and requirements for reporting and analysis, including onboarding suppliers for Supplier financing program in ERPs and Banking systems, reporting and analysis
  • Supports GBS in overdue management, payment terms and other conditions related to metal and ODM suppliers

Professional & Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
  • Job related experience for 3 to 7 year(s) minimum
  • Demonstrated familiarity with financial statement analysis, including the analysis of cash flows
  • Aptitude with various financial systems, including proficiency in advanced spreadsheet functions
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data with attention to details
  • Strong communication skills in working with various stakeholders including suppliers and banks but also internal functions
  • Expected Hiring Salary Range:$75,400 - $105,290 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
  • This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.

  • Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) or more work days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). [Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.]
