Matson, Inc. seeks a Principal Financial & Operations Analyst in Walnut Creek, CA to advance data, reporting, and analytics capabilities across operations and finance.

You will design data pipelines, Power BI dashboards, budgeting models, and AI-enabled analytics to support Vessel and Network Operations, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. This hybrid role requires onsite work in Walnut Creek three days per week, partnering with Operations, Finance, Accounting, and IT to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Three+ years of experience in operations finance, financial analysis, BI, data analytics, or related disciplines.
• Experience developing enterprise reporting solutions, Power BI dashboards, financial models or analytical tools.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Excel, Power Query, SQL, and related analytics tech.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and performance measurement.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, reporting solutions, Power BI dashboards, financial models, and analytical tools.
• Establish trusted data sources by integrating data from multiple systems.
• Build Excel-based budget and forecasting models with cost drivers and historical data.
• Partner with leaders to understand challenges and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Translate activity into financial insights by analyzing cost drivers and variances.
