Job summary

Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services seeks a Financial Examiner/Analyst Supervisor (SES) to lead the Program Integrity Section within the Food, Nutrition and Wellness Division. You will ensure compliance with federal cost principles and financial management standards.

You will supervise staff, oversee audits of program sponsors and recipients, and develop reports while providing training and on-site technical assistance as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 9 years accounting experience, or
• High school diploma with 5 years accounting experience in state service, two of which in supervision, or
• Bachelor's degree in accounting with 5 years accounting experience, two of which in supervision, or
• Master's degree in accounting or CPA with 4 years accounting experience, two of which in supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the financial compliance activities of the Program Integrity Section.
• Provide leadership, set goals, document procedures, and train staff.
• Oversee financial examinations and audits of sponsors and recipients.
• Prepare reports and manage investigations into improper use of funds and fraud.
• Deliver training sessions and provide on-site technical assistance.
