Job summary

Community Memorial Health System in Ventura, CA seeks a Financial Analyst to build complex financial models and conduct decision-support reporting. You will monitor medical cost and utilization trends and prepare routine and novel analyses to inform cost containment and strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/business, 3+ years of experience, and strong Excel/Access skills, with SQL and ETL expertise to handle large data sets and enable data-driven

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or related field
• 3+ years as a financial analyst, decision support, or similar
• Advanced Microsoft Access and Excel skills
• Solid knowledge of SQL and ETL
• Ability to work with large data sets and understanding of data warehousing

Responsibilities

• Prepare routine and novel financial analyses and reports for decision support
• Design and maintain complex models and statistical reports
• Monitor cost and utilization trends and analyze data monthly
• Explain analytical findings clearly and work with SMEs to drive actions and monitor outcomes
• Assist with annual budget process and compare forecasts to actuals
• Incorporate internal and external benchmarks to identify indicators of medical management trends
• Participate in cross-functional teams and improve accounting systems and processes
• Ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven department
• Handle ad hoc data requests for analysis
