Start date - Monday 5th January 2026

8 weeks training, fully remote, training will be Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm

As part of the application process, we\'ll ask you more about the below shift patterns, please note this role will require you are fully flexible to accommodate both possible shift rotations.

Shift patterns
  • Late evening shift: 5pm-1.30am with a 1 in 3 weekend rotation. £208 monthly allowance on top of base salary (£2,503 per year)
  • Overnight shift: 12.30am-9am with a 1 in 3 weekend rotation. £417 monthly allowance on top of base salary (£5,004 per year)

Our Financial Crime Overnight Team

We are looking for night owls who love solving problems and keeping up-to-date with the latest financial crime and fraud trends to join our late team, working 5pm - 1:30am OR 12am - 9am, and help Monzo make money work for everyone. We complete a diverse range of fraud and financial crime tasks within our Overnight team, to ensure that we keep Monzo and our customers safe around the clock.

We believe that the Overnight team is best placed to protect our customers and Monzo when they have a holistic understanding of the threats that we need to prevent. This means that all financial crime and fraud work is tackled as one Overnight team with multi-skilled individuals. This means that you’ll have the opportunity to be exposed to, and trained to work on, a variety of financial crime and fraud tasks over the course of your career at Monzo.

You’ll play a key role by...

  • Making decisions about what to do with customer accounts that are flagged by our transaction monitoring system
  • Writing suspicious activity reports for Monzo and the National Crime Agency
  • Engaging with other banks and financial institutions about reports of fraudulent behaviour
  • Securing fraudulent funds so that they can be returned to victims
