First Quality is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst - Cost at our Lewistown, PA facility. The role leads cost accounting efforts to deliver lowest cost, high-quality products while supporting operations and month-end close.

The ideal candidate has a CPA/MBA preferred, 3–5 years in cost accounting, and ERP experience (SAP). You will collaborate across functions to drive cost reductions and maintain strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5 years’ Cost Accounting experience.
• MBA, CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with SAP ERP.

Responsibilities

• Establish accurate cost standards for products.
• Evaluate and resolve material receiving and usage errors.
• Address cost accounting issues to ensure accurate financials.
• Coordinate with Planning on BOMs and routings.
• Participate in month-end close and reporting.
• Provide variance analyses and budgeting/forecasting.
• Prepare dashboards and communicate inventory revaluations.
• Support internal controls and cross-functional teams.
• Assist with weekly dashboard reporting.

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - Cost for our First Quality Retail Services facility located in Lewistown, PA.

This position acts as the manager responsible for supporting the delivery of the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost. Drive improved profitability via cost reduction objectives.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Responsible for establishing accurate cost standards for our products.
• Evaluate work order accounting issues and assist in resolving material receiving and usage errors.
• Evaluate and correct other Cost Accounting issues that arise to ensure accurate financial statements.
• Works in parallel with Planning to ensure accurate Bills of Materials and Routings
• Participate and provide oversight for month-end close activities.
• Prepare reporting on material usage variances & work with Operations to improve.
• Provides analysis for forward-looking financial and business-related projects often working closely with Operations.
• Prepares budgets/forecasts and analysis of trends in manufacturing and other related areas.
• Establishes databases of pertinent information for use in planning and forecasting.
• Effectively communicate to leadership inventory revaluation and purchase price variance impacts.
• Provide financial and internal control support to a wide range of individuals and departments throughout the organization.
• Assists with monthly close, providing commentary on variances & other financial activity.
• Responsible for overseeing the weekly dashboard reporting process.
• Prepares reports and analysis as requested by Finance Management.
• Complete additional duties and assignments as delegated by finance management.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• MBA, CPA, and/or CMA preferred, but not required.
• 3-5 years’ experience in Cost Accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in ERP systems such as SAP
• Knowledge of US GAAP basic principles and elements of internal controls
• Understanding of manufacturing accounting environment
• Proficient in the manufacturing process.
• Experience working independently and leading complex projects.
• Experience working with leadership across a variety of functions
