First Quality Retail Services in Lewistown, PA is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst-Cost to drive cost standards, analyze variances, and support month-end close. You will partner with Operations and Finance to improve profitability and ensure accurate BOMs and routings.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 3–5 years in cost accounting, and proficiency with MS Office and SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• MBA, CPA and/or CMA preferred, but not required.
• 3–5 years’ experience in Cost Accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in ERP systems such as SAP.
• Knowledge of US GAAP principles and internal controls.
• Understanding of manufacturing accounting environment.
• Proficient in manufacturing processes.
• Experience independent work and leading complex projects.
• Experience working with leadership across functions.

Responsibilities

• Establish accurate cost standards for products.
• Evaluate cost accounting issues and resolve material usage errors.
• Assist in month-end close and related reporting.
• Collaborate with Planning on BOMs and routings.
• Prepare budgets/forecasts and variance analyses.
• Provide dashboards and analyses to operations and finance.

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst-Cost for our First Quality Retail Services facility located in Lewistown, PA. This position acts as the manager Responsible for supporting the delivery of the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost. Drive improved profitability via cost reduction objectives. Shift: M-F Salary Exempt

Primary responsibilities include:

• Responsible for establishing accurate cost standards for our products.
• Evaluate work order accounting issues and assist in resolving material receiving and usage errors.
• Evaluate and correct other Cost Accounting issues that arise to ensure accurate financial statements.
• Works in parallel with Planning to ensure accurate Bills of Materials and Routings
• Participate and provide oversight for month-end close activities.
• Prepare reporting on material usage variances & work with Operations to improve.
• Provides analysis for forward-looking financial and business-related projects often working closely with Operations.
• Prepares budgets/forecasts and analysis of trends in manufacturing and other related areas.
• Establishes databases of pertinent information for use in planning and forecasting.
• Effectively communicate to leadership inventory revaluation and purchase price variance impacts.
• Provide financial and internal control support to a wide range of individuals and departments throughout the organization.
• Assists with monthly close, providing commentary on variances & other financial activity.
• Responsible for overseeing the weekly dashboard reporting process.
• Prepares reports and analysis as requested by Finance Management.
• Complete additional duties and assignments as delegated by finance management.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
