Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in political science, business, journalism, communications, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2+ years of experience in corporate communications, financial services, or public relations, preferably in an agency setting.
• Experience in financial communications with hedge funds, private equity, or asset management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead communications strategies for financial services clients.
• Serve as a client contact ensuring high-quality communication.
• Assist in creating and executing communications plans.
• Develop understanding of clients' businesses and stakeholders and provide strategic recommendations.
• Support leadership in identifying challenges and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Develop media engagement strategies and relationships with journalists, producers, and influencers.
• Craft thought leadership content including op-eds, speeches, and media materials.
• Provide media counsel to ensure message alignment and positioning.
• Translate complex financial topics into clear narratives for media and investors.
• Contribute to multiple projects from inception to completion and manage timelines and budgets.
• Oversee junior team members with mentorship and feedback.
• Collaborate with internal teams on integrated campaigns and new business proposals.
