Job summary

Humana is seeking a Senior Financial Analytics Professional who will manage data to support daily operations, strategic planning, and performance issues. You will tackle moderately complex to complex analyses to inform decisions.

Responsibilities include collecting, compiling, and analyzing financial information for budget planning, capital expenditure, and divestitures; presenting results to senior management weekly, monthly, and quarterly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 3+ years of general accounting and financial management experience.
• Experience compiling, modeling, interpreting and analyzing data to identify variances and trends.
• Experience managing data to support decisions on daily operations, strategic planning and performance issues.
• Ability to explain variances and trends and enhance modeling techniques.

The Senior Financial Analytics Professional manages data to support and influence decisions on daily operations, strategic planning and performance issues. You will work assignments that involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

• Collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information and economic indicators for making strategic and operational decisions on, for example budget planning, capital expenditure and divestitures.
• Present results to senior management ie weekly, monthly, quarterly.
• Analyzes the financial implications of proposed budget and explain variances and trends.
• Evaluate industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization’s short, medium, and long-term financial and competitive position.
• Begin to influence department’s strategy and develop analysis on, expenses, costs and, investments.
• May involve financial modeling, reporting and budgeting as well.
• Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.
• Work with Tech leadership on business case analysis and return on investments.

Required Qualifications

• Candidates must reside in Florida, Kentucky, Maryland , Washington, D.C. or Virginia.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Three (3) or more years of general accounting and financial management experience.
• Experience compiling, modeling, interpreting and analyzing data to identify, explain, influence variances and trends.
• Experience managing data to support and influence decisions on daily operations, strategic planning and specific business performance issues.
• Ability to explain variances and trends and enhance modeling techniques.
• Have a working knowledge and understand department, segment and organizational strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree.
• Tech Finance experience.
• Financial or accounting background.
• Project Management Certification.

Additional Information

• Work Style: This is a remote position.
• Typical Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm Eastern Time (ET).
• Travel: Periodic travel to Humana office locations in Florida, Kentucky, Maryland, Washington, D.C., or Virginia will be required for team meetings, collaboration, and engagement activities.

Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$89,000 - $121,400 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
