Qualifications

A day in the life

You’ll start your day reviewing performance dashboards and conducting variance analysis on seller cost savings metrics, identifying trends and anomalies that require deeper investigation. You’ll collaborate with product managers to evaluate a new cost‑reduction initiative, building financial models to assess return on investment and presenting your recommendations. Throughout the day, you’ll partner with business and finance leaders to identify and resolve issues, refine measurement methodologies, and prepare insightful narratives for senior leadership. You’ll also dedicate time to automating routine reporting processes, ensuring your team can focus on high‑value strategic analysis that drives program success.

We’re constantly iterating on measurement approaches and ensuring we remain focused on the initiatives and seller segments that matter most. As we scale our financial measurement and reporting capabilities, you’ll play a crucial role in driving insights that inform strategic decisions and help sellers thrive on our platform.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 3+ years of contributing to cross‑functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
  • 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of Tableau
  • Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
