Job summary

Latham & Watkins LLP is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst – Pricing in New York Hybrid role to support the firm’s pricing strategy. You will provide financial analysis, modeling, and advisory services to attorneys and business teams to optimize profitability and win engagements.

The role requires strong pricing analytics, advanced modeling, and project management skills, with a focus on developing tools and templates for efficient fee responses and strategic pricing decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, business administration, management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum four years of experience in financial analysis and/or project management.
• Experience developing financial analysis/modeling and project tracking/reporting.
• Advanced financial modeling and pricing advisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead pricing responses for new opportunities by developing competitive, profitable fee proposals aligned to the firm’s financial goals.
• Conduct pricing-focused practice group, industry, and market analysis for leadership to drive optimal decisions.
• Develop internal pricing databases and external go-to-market templates for efficient fee responses.
• Assist the Rate Approval Committee by leveraging the ServiceNow database for ongoing reports and trends.
• Prepare analyses and materials for annual pricing strategy meetings with senior management.
• Protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential information.

About the Role

The Senior Financial Analyst – Pricing is an integral part of Latham’s Financial Analysis team and will be responsible for providing financial, analytical, and business support to drive success towards the firm’s goals and objectives, while providing pricing expertise and advisory services to attorneys and other business functions through quantitative (i.e. profitability analysis) and qualitative (i.e. negotiation tactics) support. This role will be located in our New Yorkoffice.Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

• Leading pricing response for the pursuit of new opportunities by developing competitive, innovative, and profitable fee proposals that align to the firm’s strategic and financial goals
• Conducting pricing-focused practice group, industry, and market analysis to share with leadership teams in order to drive optimal decision making
• Developing internal pricing databases and external go-to-market templates for key product areas that allow for more efficient and effective fee responses on engagement opportunities
• Assisting the Rate Approval Committee by leveraging the ServiceNow database to develop ongoing reports that inform the committee of the outcome, performance, and trends based on historical approval decisions
• Preparing analysis and presentation materials for annual pricing strategy meetings with senior management and leadership teams
• Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in PC applications, including project management software, MS Office, and other programs necessary to complete thorough analyses and reports
• Possess advanced financial modeling and project management skills
• Display an advanced ability to perceive and analyze problems and develop alternative strategies to solve them

And have:

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in economics, finance, accounting, business administration, management, or related field, preferably a Master’s degree or equivalent in a related field
• A minimum of four (4) years’ experience related to financial analysis and/or project management, preferably in a professional services environment
• Experience developing financial analysis/modeling and project tracking/reporting, preferably

Pay Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.
