Job summary

MITRE’s Finance organization seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to join the MITRE Technology & Engineering (MTE) Finance team. You’ll provide day-to-day financial management, forecasting, and business decision support to maximize value for government sponsors.

Responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, monthly reporting, and building financial models; the role requires on-site work four days per week and strong Excel, accounting, and finance literacy.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
• Ability to simplify complex analysis and concepts through strong narrative development and effective data visualizations.
• Intermediate-level Excel skills.
• Basic Accounting literacy.
• Basic-Intermediate Government Cost Accounting literacy.
• Intermediate Finance literacy.
• This position requires a minimum of 4 days a week on-site.

Responsibilities

• Fiduciary perspective to prioritize good financial outcomes for the customer and for MITRE as a whole.
• Ensure strong operating financial controls and adherence to MITRE Finance policies.
• Regular engagements with Division Directors and other stakeholders to discuss forecasts and performance.
• Lead ad hoc or strategic analyses and develop financial models for forecasting and target-setting.
