Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to deliver critical analysis, drive performance improvements, and own product cost, proposal support, and financial metrics for the Blue National Security unit.

You will partner with BU leadership, build a best-in-class finance function, and lead initiatives that improve insights delivered to senior leadership. On-site in CO or WA with relocation support is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related analytical field.
• 8+ years of professional finance experience.
• Strong analytical, strategic and critical thinking skills with advanced Excel modelling.
• Experience leading project teams.
• Experience with ERP tools, financial/operational databases, and accounting software.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial analysis for internal executive memos and deliver insights to senior leadership.
• Provide accurate, timely financial information to support business execution.
• Analyze data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Standardize programmatic and financial metrics across the business unit.
• Own root cause analysis and recovery planning for off-track metrics.
• Drive product cost standardization and identify cost-reduction opportunities across product lines.
• Support financial analysis for external and internal proposals and author executive memos.
• Collaborate across the business to deliver meaningful insights to leadership.
• Partner with stakeholders to manage large-scale projects and reprioritize as needed.
• Build and improve financial models with industry metrics, scenario and sensitivity analyses.
• Improve financial processes, systems and reporting for efficiency.
• Mentor and develop team members and foster continuous learning.
