Job summary

AbbVie in Illinois is seeking a Senior Department Financial Analyst to drive ISRM procurement and budgeting processes, partner with stakeholders, and provide financial guidance for information security initiatives.

The role focuses on planning, procurement, provisioning, and financial management of security solutions, with emphasis on cost optimization and governance for executive audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or finance with 6+ years of experience; or Master’s with 5+; or PhD with 0 years.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and contracting/procurement support.
• Proven budget management and forecasting experience for complex, multi-faceted organizations.
• Experience operating within complex procurement processes to drive efficient purchasing and align with budgetary requirements.
• Proven ability to establish high-quality relationships across the company and with external partners.
• Ability to design impactful financial reporting for executives and stakeholders.
• Experience with enterprise financial systems and tools such as SAP.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand processes and procurements, supporting planning and procurement needs.
• Lead procurement processes with finance and procurement partners, supporting budget tracking.
• Establish processes to ensure financial data accuracy across workbooks.
• Manage departmental budget and project spend with functional leaders.
• Align project management with financial forecasting and reporting requirements.
• Support Capital Plan and Long-Range Planning activities.
• Develop leadership reporting for governance and transparency.
• Meet monthly with cross-functional partners to review active projects and manage change orders.
• Maintain compliance with AbbVie policies.
