Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a motivated Financial Analyst/Business Analyst to champion teamwork and develop advanced financial reporting. You will manage program funding, forecasting, and cost analyses, supporting sponsor reviews and milestones within the AB2 Group.

Role requires a Bachelor's in a relevant field, 7+ years of experience in financial analysis and government contracting, and proficiency in MS Office and data tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in financial cost analysis, reporting, and proposals, incl. government contracting.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and analyzing program funding, task planning, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Preparing responses for proposals pertaining to IDIQ contracts, grants, and industry solicitations.
  • Providing leadership and support to the Programs Financial Services Section of the AB2 Group.
  • Participating on lab-wide committees and team meetings with effective communication.
  • Collaborating with Sector, Mission, Program Area, Program, and Project Managers to identify financial risks.
  • Perform finance-related tasking in support of Air & Missile Defense Sector programs and PMs, including ETC management.
  • Prepare routine financial analysis to forecast funding and risks.
  • Prepare financial reports supporting contract requirements and sponsor reviews.
  • Develop and manage resource and procurement planning activities.
  • Perform quality/peer reviews on financial and program documents.
  • Engage stakeholders on concerns, risks, and priorities; seek process improvements.
  • Develop proposals, cost impacts, and other financial documents; respond to RFPs.
