The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks an enthusiastic Financial Analyst/Business Analyst to champion teamwork and deliver advanced financial reporting solutions to sponsors.

You will manage program funding, prepare responses for proposals, support the Programs Financial Services Section, and collaborate with Program and Government sponsors to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and contract compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in financial cost analysis, financial reporting, and proposal preparation, including at least 3 years in a government contracting environment.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite application.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently with strong interpersonal, problem-resolution skills, and analytical skills.
  • Are fluent with various financial reporting software applications and have the desire to learn new and emerging applications.
  • Are able to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance prior to starting and can ultimately obtain a Secret level security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and analyze program funding, task planning, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare routine financial analysis to forecast and identify potential funding and period of performance risks.
  • Provide support in developing and managing the resource and procurement planning activities.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers and Government sponsors to identify potential financial risks and ensure contract compliance.
