Job summary

Jobtailor in Washington DC seeks an experienced financial analyst to manage advanced financial analysis, reconciliation, and reporting across multiple appropriations, including earmarked funds. You will coordinate foreign assistance funding through the full grant lifecycle and ensure compliance with federal requirements.

You will build and maintain complex Excel-based tracking models, analyze FFR-425, and prepare leadership briefs on financial status and audits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and federal grant/foreign assistance funding.
• Experience with federal financial systems (PMS, GFMS, Ariba).
• Advanced Excel skills for complex tracking and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced financial analysis, reconciliation, and reporting across appropriations including earmarked funds.
• Lead coordination of foreign assistance funding through full grant lifecycle (pre-, award, post-award).
• Oversee Form 7600 A & B preparation and ensure compliance with Department requirements.
• Manage and reconcile financial data across PMS, GFMS, and related systems; resolve discrepancies with HHS and stakeholders.
• Analyze FFR-425 and conduct account reviews to identify variances and correct them.
• Track grant awards, obligations, expenditures, and maintain accurate records and reporting tools.
• Develop and maintain complex Excel-based tracking systems and financial models.
• Support year-end closeout and mid-year reviews across multiple funding streams.
• Prepare briefing materials and reports for leadership on financial status, audits, and closeout.
• Serve as primary point of contact for financial inquiries and escalated issues with senior-level expertise.
• Liaise with DRL leadership, Regional Bureaus, CGFS, and U.S. embassies on financial tracking and reporting.
