The Grocery Finance organization is dedicated to shaping the long-term strategy and future of grocery, omni-channel and new physical store formats across Amazon. As the Sr Financial Analyst within FP&A, you will play a pivotal role in partnering regularly with a broad range of finance and business leaders across the Amazon Physical Stores, Retail Grocery, Whole Foods Market, and WW Operations organization, often at some with the most senior levels within the company.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Work closely with Planning Lead to take full ownership of existing planning models and invent and simplify new models.
  2. Own/run existing planning models at a set cadence; monthly, quarterly, per planning cycle calendar.
  3. Drive automation and scale of financial planning. Simplify process for internal stakeholders (e.g., finance peers and business partners).
  4. Provide insights and clarity on team opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.
  5. Partner with product management, finance, and engineering teams to understand initiatives and influence automation projects.
  6. Partner with business teams and Finance stakeholders to help develop short- and long-term models and forecasts.
  7. Lead key analytical projects that influence senior leadership decision making.
A day in the life

We are looking for a SFA with strong modeling skills and financial acumen. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is passionate about the customer experience, who thinks/acts globally, and who will contribute with strategic and impactful reporting. They will need to be a self-starter who is comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with strong data gathering and modeling skills. They will need to demonstrate the ability to manage a wide range of problem-solving situations requiring extensive use of data collection and analysis, as well as working with stakeholders across the org to operationalize and scale new and existing planning and reporting processes and tools.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
  2. Bachelor's degree.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
  2. MBA, or CPA.
  3. Knowledge of Tableau.
  4. Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
