Job summary

VMG Health seeks a Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A & Business Intelligence) to partner with finance leadership and operations, delivering financial analysis, performance reporting, and dashboards that inform decisions across practices and corporate functions.

The position will play a central role in building, enhancing, and maintaining reporting solutions that provide visibility into financial and operational performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Information Systems or related field.
• 3+ years FP&A, financial analysis, business intelligence, reporting or related analytical role.
• Advanced Excel skills with complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling and financial analysis.
• Experience developing dashboards and reporting using Power BI or similar BI platforms.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis and KPI development.
• Experience with ERP and enterprise reporting systems; NetSuite preferred.
• Ability to gather business requirements and develop reporting solutions for stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building across finance and operations.

Responsibilities

• Support annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, long-range planning and financial modeling.
• Perform financial and operational analysis to identify trends, risks, opportunities and drivers.
• Develop, maintain and enhance dashboard solutions and reporting tools for insights.

• Design, automate and improve recurring financial, operational and management reporting processes.

The Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A & Business Intelligence) will serve as a key partner to finance leadership and operational stakeholders across VMG Health. This role is responsible for delivering financial analysis, performance reporting, dashboard development, and business insights that support decision-making across practices, service lines, and corporate functions.

The position will play a central role in building, enhancing, and maintaining reporting solutions that provide visibility into financial and operational performance. Working closely with leaders throughout the organization, the Senior Financial Analyst will translate business needs into meaningful dashboards, reports, and analytical tools while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with advanced analytical and reporting capabilities, demonstrates expert-level Excel skills, and has experience developing dashboards and business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision making.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Support the annual budgeting process, monthly forecasting cycles, long-range planning, and financial modeling activities.
• Perform financial and operational analysis to identify performance trends, risks, opportunities, and key business drivers.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboard solutions and reporting tools that provide actionable insights to operational and executive stakeholders.
• Partner with leaders across VMG Health practices and service lines to define reporting requirements and build customized dashboards that support business performance and operational decision-making.
• Design, automate, and improve recurring financial, operational, and management reporting processes.
• Utilize data from ERP, project accounting, and other business systems to create meaningful reporting and analytics.
• Support project profitability, utilization, revenue, and operational performance reporting.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance scorecards across the organization.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting platforms and business intelligence solutions.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and IT teams to improve data availability, reporting capabilities, and system utilization.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages, presentations, and analyses for senior leadership.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance organizational use of data.
• Support ad hoc financial analyses, strategic projects, acquisitions, and special initiatives as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or a related analytical role.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, and financial analysis.
• Demonstrated experience developing dashboards, visualizations, and reporting solutions using Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and KPI development.
• Experience working with ERP and enterprise reporting systems; NetSuite experience preferred.
• Ability to gather business requirements, synthesize complex data, and develop reporting solutions for a variety of stakeholder groups.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across finance and operational teams.
