Job summary

The Data Analyst IV role at the Health & Human Services Commission supports Provider Finance with data-driven decisions. You will gather, organize, and analyze large datasets to uncover trends, errors, and opportunities, while preparing reports and dashboards for stakeholders.

You’ll write queries, review data quality, and share insights with internal and external partners, reporting to the Director of Provider Finance and exercising independent judgment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited four-year college or university with the required degree.
• Two years' experience collecting, querying, cleaning, analyzing, and reporting data using statistical or analytical tools.
• Experience may substitute education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Collects, queries, cleans, prunes, and analyzes Provider Finance data using standard tools and techniques.
• Interprets results to identify differences, patterns and trends that inform decisions.
• Consults with internal/external customers to identify data analytics needs and communicate findings.
• Provides guidance to other data analysts.
• Identifies data gaps, errors, and redundancies by analyzing data content and relationships.
• Maintains records and security procedures for handling confidential data.
