Job summary

Daikin Applied in Minnesota seeks a finance professional to support monthly close, journal entries, and variance analysis. You will collaborate with the Sr Controller and finance team to ensure accurate ERP data and assist audits and internal controls.

You will help maintain USGAAP and Japanese GAAP charts of accounts in Oracle, participate in ERP maintenance and process improvements, and contribute to planning and management reporting in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years experience in accounting/finance or related field.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle or similar).
• Support ERP and other financial systems maintenance, upgrades, integrations, etc.
• Assist in maintaining chart of accounts for USGAAP and Japanese GAAP in Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, understand and interpret financial data supporting monthly journal entries and month-end close, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Analyze variances to plan or forecast; understand drivers and trends; assist in management reporting.
• Work with Sr Controller and finance team to ensure ERP data accuracy and security.
• Assist internal/external audits and compliance with internal controls.
• Support planning process and ERP system maintenance, upgrades and integrations.
• Develop workflow processes to improve efficiency of financial systems.
