Job description

About The Company

The Company is a 12-year-old consumer brand in the outdoors category. We go to market through mass market retailers like Walmart and Dick’s Sporting Goods, marketplaces like Amazon, and direct-to-consumer via a monthly subscription box. The business was formerly venture-backed and is now under new ownership, operating with a cash-flow focused strategy for long-term viability.

Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced and analytically sharp Financial Analyst based in the Philippines to join our core finance team. This is a full-time, fully remote role. The successful candidate will own FP&A workflows, deliver timely and accurate reports, and support strategic initiatives across our omnichannel business. This role will replace outgoing contractor support and embed directly with the U.S.-based executive and finance teams. It reports to the VP of Finance and collaborates with accounting, operations, and the CEO.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Financial planning & forecasting – Maintain and update our dynamic operating model and cash flow forecast; support budget creation and monthly reforecasting cycles.
  2. Reporting & performance tracking – Deliver recurring financial dashboards and insights on revenue, margin, COGS, working capital, and EBITDA by channel (DTC, wholesale, Amazon).
  3. Inventory & working capital analytics – Reconcile inventory data across platforms, analyze landed cost trends, and support operations in improving forecast accuracy.
  4. Process automation & tooling – Build and enhance Excel/Google Sheets models; automate workflows and reporting using AI tools and macros where appropriate.
  5. Board, lender & investor support – Assist in preparing finance packages and investor updates with high accuracy, presentation quality, and insight.
  6. Ad hoc strategic analysis – Lead deep dives into cohort performance, pricing changes, product/channel profitability, or working capital scenarios.

What makes you the right fit

  1. Technical & business acumen – 3–7 years in FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting. Experience with inventory-heavy or omnichannel consumer businesses is preferred.
  2. U.S. business exposure – Comfortable working with U.S. finance teams, time zones, and tools. Prior experience embedded with a U.S. team is a plus.
  3. Advanced modeling skills – High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (index-match, array formulas, pivot tables, scripting); ability to build models from scratch.
  4. Data-first mindset – Strong analytical skills with comfort in messy datasets, CSVs, EDI files, and cross-functional collaboration.
  5. AI-native operator – Regular user of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Excel CoPilot) to increase speed, accuracy, and process innovation.
  6. Effective communicator – Clear written and verbal English; able to translate data into insights for operators and executives.
  7. U.S. hours coverage – Able to overlap at least 6 hours daily aligned with U.S. Central/Eastern time zones.
