Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for the SSD and Online Grocery Finance team in Arlington, VA. You will lead reconciliation processes, develop improvements, and drive financial analyses for major business events, partnering with finance and operations leaders across Amazon.

You will work with large datasets, utilize MS Excel and finance systems, and communicate complex issues clearly to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience.
Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

Identifies basic control risks, evaluates impact, proposes changes, and implements improvements to remediate gaps.
Delivers weekly/monthly financial close.
Uses financial systems and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large data sets.
Works with a variety of data sources. Identifies incomplete data, root causes, and fixes data.
Communicates data clearly to varied audiences to explain complex finance issues.
Identifies and implements solutions to automate, standardize, or simplify finance processes.
Drives self-development in the Finance Community and shares knowledge.
