Job summary

RingCentral is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for COGS to lead FP&A, planning, forecasting, and reporting for Subscription COGS and IT. You will partner with operations to identify cost drivers, build models, and drive automation across financial processes.

You will mentor offshore resources, present insights to senior finance leadership, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including CTO/Technology.

Qualifications

• Public and private cloud COGS experience.
• Strong data analysis, modeling, and communicating numbers.
• Experience supporting CTO/Technology org.
• Analytical, problem-solving, detail-oriented.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.
• Experience with Anaplan.
• Lead automation projects using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong presentation skills.
• Ability to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Senior Financial Analyst, COGS

Job Duties:

• Looking for a leader to oversee financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes for Subscription COGS and IT functions, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate objectives.

• Partner with operational leaders to provide insights into cost drivers, trends, and opportunities for efficiency and savings.

• Develop financial models, and scenario analyses to support investment decisions and cost optimization initiatives.

• Monitor and report on monthly performance against budget, delivering variance analysis and actionable recommendations.

• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Lead, develop, and mentor a small team of offshore resources to ensure high-quality deliverables and career growth.

• Present findings and recommendations to senior finance leadership and business stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner.

• Continuously design, develop, and automate the unit COGS model

• Extract required data from internal systems, lead analytics projects, and monitor key trends in relevant metrics

• Work independently and in conjunction with our FP&A, Accounting, Revenue, Subcription COGS, and IT teams

• Fulfill ad-hoc analytical requests as needed

Desired Qualifications:

• Looking for someone with public and private cloud COGS experience..

• Basically looking for someone who is great at analyzing data, modeling, communicating the numbers and influencing business partners.

• Background of supporting CTO/Technology org in the past

• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and close attention to detail

• Advanced level user in MS Excel and Google Sheets

• Experience with Anaplan would be great

• Lead automation projects, leveraging technologies such as Anaplan, ChatGPT, Tableau, etc.

• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally)

• Strong presentation, organization, and communication skills

• Ability to deliver high quality results while working in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience supporting COGS with a focus on identifying cost drivers and leading initiatives that improve operational efficiency

• Ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in a rapidly changing business environment

• Understanding of SaaS business model and cloud (public and private cloud) operations

If you are hired in Belmont, CA, the compensation range for this position is between $133,300 and $162,600 for full-time employees, in addition to eligibility for variable pay, equity, and benefits. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, health and wellness, 401k, ESPP, vacation, parental leave, and more! The salary may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
