Amazon Web Services (AWS) Finance seeks a world class Sr. Financial Analyst to be a key member of its team.

This position will work closely with finance management as well as key business partners across the AWS organization, to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership in the AWS Storage business. The successful candidate will provide strong finance support and controllership for S3's costs, implement and drive the core financial processes for the business including Annual Operating Plans,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field, or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
• 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience

Responsibilities

• Driving financial planning & analysis; building complex financial models and analytical tools to support review of S3's costs and capacity
• Developing short and long range financial / operational forecasts of S3's infrastructure footprint
• Develop, track, and report relevant KPIs to shed financial and operational insights into the CapEx and OpEx drivers, and influence business decisions using data and communication skills
• Driving ad hoc financial analyses and projects
