Job summary

City of Austin seeks an experienced Financial Analyst IV to develop long range financial forecasts, revenue estimates, rate recommendations, and expenditure trends. You will build and maintain complex financial models and support debt-related planning and regulatory reporting.

The role involves CIP/operating budget development, variance analysis, and collaboration with City departments. A Master’s degree or CPA may substitute for experience; remote options exist with required in-office time.

Qualifications

• Graduation with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics plus five years’ experience.
• A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or Public Administration may substitute for 2 years’ experience.
• A five (5) year accounting degree or CPA designation may substitute for 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Develops and prepares reports, analyses, and models for revenue and budgets.
• Performs budget analysis, reviews variances, and supports CIP and operating budgets.
• Develops complex financial analyses and debt-related projections and testimony.
