Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking a financially skilled professional to provide accounting support within the BSD AFA - Accounting group. You will manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, support budgeting and financial analyses, and ensure accurate invoicing and reporting for the Service Delivery Unit.

• Ability to prepare financial analysis and budgeting support.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs reporting/analysis for the Service Delivery Unit, including independent report generation and verification.
• Initiates, tracks, and reports on external billing agreements and monthly/quarterly invoicing.
• Provides ad hoc reporting/financial analysis for the Senior Director and Executive Administrator.
• Maintains files for spend analysis trends.
• Assists Director/Manager with reporting deliverables and increasing independence.
• Participates in creating the annual operating budget and analyzes actuals.
• Performs accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks to ensure timely payments.
• Handles check deposits and ensures funds are deposited to correct COA/POETAF segment.
• Provides data access support to departments and SDUs, expert in Oracle and Orbit; streamlines with Excel.
