Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing relevant support and analysis to Client Project Management, Project Coordination, and Business Operations, necessary to achieve a successful billing process of review and approval. The role involves partnering with the business to address finance inquiries with clients. Responsibilities include cost center expense management, invoice review and sign-off, analysis of the site’s unbilled revenue, review of client contracts, and development and reporting of KPIs to monitor the financial health of the site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Partner with client project management and client services on Statements of Work (SOWs) and relevant SAP workflow, including cost analysis used to develop pricing.
• Partner with project management and coordination to analyze impact on revenue recognition (ASC 606).
• Analyze client unbilled and aging receivables; collaborate with Credit and Collections, Project Coordination, Client Project Management, Business Development, and Site Operations to resolve issues.
• Prepare and present client invoice reconciliations with supporting documentation to assist in addressing invoicing needs.
• Partner with site Operations and Quality to develop KPIs and reporting tools for business decision-making and operational efficiency measurement.
• Utilize SAP, AFO, and SAC applications to develop routine financial reports for variance analysis.
• Analyze financial and operational performance, providing explanations, observations, and recommendations to leadership.
• Contribute to monthly/quarterly forecasts, Annual Operating Plan, and Strategic Plan, analyzing variances.
• Support monthly business reviews with senior management discussing operational and financial results.
• Partner proactively with site leadership to address organizational needs and identify financial risks and opportunities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in business or science.
• 5–7+ years of experience in financial analysis or business; experience in Life Science industry preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills grounded in data.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted; 10 years of experience as a Financial Analyst can substitute for a Bachelor’s degree.

Compensation Data

The pay range is $90,000 – $100,000 USD annually, with salaries varying based on experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
