Join our team as a Senior Financial Analyst at AWS where you'll drive business impact by diving deep into data to identify opportunities for optimizing internal usage of precious capacity resources. You'll partner with business leaders to uncover insights that change the trajectory of AWS through process simplification and efficiency identification. In this role, you'll analyze complex datasets, deliver actionable recommendations, and implement mechanisms that enable the business to make data-driven decisions with immediate impact.

A day in the life

Your typical day involves diving deep into complex datasets to uncover insights about Containers and Serverless Finance. You'll collaborate with business leaders to identify efficiency opportunities, analyzing trends and developing recommendations to optimize resource allocation. You'll participate in cross-functional meetings to present your findings, work on building or enhancing financial models, and partner with stakeholders to implement solutions that drive immediate business impact.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
• 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
• 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of Tableau
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
