Job summary

Nest Veterinary is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to own internal FP&A and support customer-facing financial modeling. You will maintain the company’s financial models, forecast revenue and expenses, and prepare board-ready reporting. You’ll also build EBITDA lift models and unit economics for enterprise prospects.

You’ll interact with Sales, Operations, Product, and Engineering, partnering with leadership to model ASC 606 revenue recognition and pricing scenarios for enterprise networks.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in financial analysis, FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or a finance role at a SaaS or healthtech company.
• Strong SQL fluency to write queries against a data warehouse.
• Proficiency with BI tools to build and maintain reports (Sigma, Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
• Exceptional Excel and financial modeling skills; models should be auditable and presentation-ready.
• Understanding of SaaS economics (ARR, retention, LTV, CAC) and ASC 606 familiarity.

Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Remote (US) | Reports to: Director of Finance | Full-Time

The Company

Nest builds the care plan infrastructure that powers preventive veterinary medicine. We are the platform behind wellness plans at some of the largest corporate veterinary networks in the country, managing enrollment, billing, analytics, marketing, and revenue recognition for hospitals at scale.

Our enterprise partnerships span 1,000+ hospitals in active or committed rollout across 10+ corporate networks. We are venture-backed and growing fast.

The Opportunity

At Nest, financial models drive decisions and close deals. When a 900-hospital network is deciding whether to partner with us, the EBITDA lift model, the unit economics waterfall, and the pricing proposal are what get them there. When we report to the board, the numbers tell the story.

This role covers both sides: customer-facing financial work that directly supports enterprise sales, and internal FP&A that keeps the company on track. You will report to our Director of Finance and work closely with both founders as well as functional leaders across Sales, Operations, Product and Engineering.

What You Own

Internal FP&A (~70%)

• Maintain and extend the company’s financial model, revenue forecasting, expense tracking, cash flow projections, and runway analysis.
• Prepare and maintain the board reporting package, including operating metrics, financial performance, and pipeline analysis.
• Support fundraising with investor-grade financial models, scenario analyses, and data room preparation
• Track unit economics at the company level: customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, gross margin by segment, and contribution margin by hospital
• Own the annual budget process and periodic reforecasting alongside the Director of Finance, including model design, working sessions with department leads, and variance analysis.
• Build and maintain financial reporting and analytics in Sigma, including monthly management reporting, KPI dashboards, and self-service views for internal stakeholders.

Customer-Facing Financial Modeling (~30%)

• Build and maintain the EBITDA lift models and unit economics frameworks we present to enterprise prospects
• Develop custom financial proposals for corporate veterinary networks, modeling care plan economics at varying adoption levels, plan designs, and fee structures
• Model revenue recognition mechanics for enterprise customers: ASC 606 allocation, consumption-based recognition for discrete services, straight-line amortization for unlimited services, and breakage timing
• Build pricing scenarios and rebate structures for enterprise negotiations, modeling the impact on both Nest’s margins and customer economics
• Join customer conversations when prospects want to pressure-test the numbers. You will be in the room when a CFO asks hard questions about incrementality and ROI.
• Analyze portfolio performance data: pre-post spend lift, visit frequency, cancellation rates, breakage, and payment capture across Nest’s hospital base

Qualifications

• 4-7 years in financial analysis, FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or a finance role at a SaaS or healthtech company.
• Strong SQL fluency - you can write your own queries against a warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar) without waiting for a data team.
• Working fluency in at least one BI tool (Sigma, Looker, Tableau, Power BI) with the ability to build and maintain reports. Sigma experience a strong plus.
• Exceptional Excel and financial modeling skills. Your models need to be clean, auditable, and presentation-ready.
• Understanding of SaaS economics: ARR, retention, LTV, CAC, and the accounting concepts underneath them.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn revenue recognition principles (ASC 606) and subscription billing mechanics
• Comfort presenting financial analysis to external audiences, including enterprise CFOs and procurement teams
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets across multiple sources
• Experience with Stripe, QuickBooks, or similar billing and accounting platforms is a plus
