Job summary

Kelly is seeking a dynamic finance professional in Sunnyvale, CA to join a high-growth FP&A team. The role offers broad exposure across planning, forecasting, and financial modeling for new business concepts, partnerships, and potential acquisitions.

You will partner with Marketing and management, perform detailed variance analysis, and support month-/quarter-/year-end closes with strong Excel, SAP and BI capabilities. 3–5 years in FP&A required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of FP&A experience.
  • Proficient in data analysis and financial reporting tools.
  • Advanced Excel (macros, pivots, lookups); strong systems acumen, SAP and/or BI preferred.
  • Understanding of accounting processes, internal controls.
  • Self-motivated with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Logical problem-solving and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate results to plan, drive variance analysis and partner with Marketing leaders.
  • Analyze historical, current, and projected financial data for planning, forecasting, and decision-making.
  • Perform month-/quarter-/year-end FP&A close activities, including journal entries for headcount and OPEX.
  • Establish regular reviews with business partners to analyze monthly actuals and forecast variances.
  • Understand accounting principles and collaborate with global accounting to maintain processes and controls.
  • Review purchase requisitions in iBuy for funding and GL accuracy.
  • Support improvements to reporting and budgeting through new systems and tools.
  • Create finance process documentation and training resources.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analytics to executives and department heads as needed.

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated finance professional to join our Client's hyper-growth organization. This is an expansive opportunity to gain broad exposure across multiple FP&A disciplines. You will foster essential FP&A skillsets, develop insightful reporting and analytics to influence decision-making, assist in building financial models for new business concepts, partnerships and acquisitions, and assess their impact on business profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate results to plan, drive variance analysis, and partner with Marketing business leaders to execute plans.
  • Analyze historical, current, and projected financial data for planning, forecasting, and management decision-making.
  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end FP&A close activities, including journal entry preparation and forecasting related to headcount and operating expenses.
  • Establish regular reviews with business partners to analyze monthly actuals, forecast variances, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Understand standard accounting principles and policies; collaborate with global accounting partners to maintain proper processes, procedures, and controls.
  • Review purchase requisitions in iBuy for funding and accuracy of GL accounts and cost centers.
  • Support improvements to existing reporting and budget processes through adoption of new systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Assist in creating finance process documentation, training guides, and resources.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analytics support to executive management and department leaders as needed.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of relevant FP&A experience.
  • Proficient in data analysis and prior experience with financial and ad hoc analyses using database and financial reporting tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups); strong systems acumen, preferably with SAP and/or BI.
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to develop innovative ideas into effective outcomes.
  • Understanding of accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Self-motivated and adept at managing shifting priorities, effective results under tight deadlines, and diverse, fast-paced assignments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.
  • Logical problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
