Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Finance team in California. You will partner with business teams to build forecasts, deliver insights, and develop financial models that drive investment decisions.

The role requires strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, GAAP knowledge, and experience with Hyperion or Anaplan. You will work cross-functionally with senior leaders across tech and media in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering or related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in finance, preferably in tech/digital media
  • Experience partnering with senior executives on financial planning and forecasting
  • Strong financial modeling skills using input-driven models
  • Proficiency with Excel/PowerPoint, Looker/SQL/Tableau a plus

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support decision-making processes and provide insights
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to develop forecasting and reporting
  • Build financial models to optimize investments and forecast business areas you support
  • Develop and streamline FP&A processes to mitigate risk and uncover value

Working within the Business Partner Finance team, you’ll be a key business partner to Business teams driving actionable insights/analytics and decision-making that results in achieving financial objectives of the business.What you'll do:Collaborate with our internal teams to support decision-making processes and provide insights that translate into recommendations.Collaborate with other Finance and Accounting teams to help develop insightful forecasting and reporting and drive actionable insights for key leaders.Partner with Business teams to enhance visibility into business operations, improve reporting fidelity, recommend investment decisions, provide insights and deliver value.Build financial models to optimize investments, as well as to support the forecasts for the business areas that you directly support.Develop and streamline FP&A processes to mitigate risk and find value within the businessDevelop analysis/tools to track business results for Finance leadership.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Experience partnering with senior executives on their business operations, financial planning, and forecasting preferably in the Technology industry.Proven track record of thriving in a fast-paced environment and juggling competing priorities under short timelines.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsEffective interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and establish strong relationshipsExpert-level financial modeling skills, building input driven models that translate business problems into financial analysis. Experience in operating financial tools (Hyperion, Anaplan, etc)Solid understanding of GAAP accounting, enabling an ability to understand and forecast intricacies within the income statementExpertise with Microsoft Excel/Powerpoint and Google Docs/SheetsSQL experience preferredMinimum qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering or or a related quantitative field5+ years of relevant professional experience or 3 years with an MBA or equivalent degreePreferred qualifications:Experience in tech or digital media industriesVery strong analytical skills.
