Job summary

A leading insurance company in Ridgeland, MS is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to conduct financial analysis and prepare comprehensive reports for senior management. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and have at least 7 years of relevant experience. A Certified Public Accountant designation is preferred. Essential Functions

Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends and variances and make recommendations to improve company’s fiscal efficiency based on interpretation of financial information.

Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management.

Compare departmental expenses to budget and provides advice and analysis at the department level to increase the efficiency of the company’s spending.

Assist with projecting future financial needs and collaborates with management to prepare long-term financial plans and other budget and financial reports.

Utilizes systems and tools for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.

Assists in the creation and further development of a budget preparation manual, budget policies and procedures manual, and other documents as needed.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

Act as a Supervisor for Accounting employees when and where requested.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Regular and predictable attendance is required.
