Join to apply for the Senior Financial Analyst role at Pura.

Join Us at Pura—Reimagining Fragrance for the Future. At Pura, we believe life is better when it smells good. Fragrance has the power to transform spaces, elevate moods, and create lasting memories. We’re pioneering the future of fragrance by combining cutting-edge smart home technology with premium, clean scents to create personalized, meaningful experiences in every home. We’re redefining fragrance as a critical element of design—on par with color, texture, sound, lighting, and furniture. We call this Scent Design, transforming scent from an afterthought into an intentional, skilled component of every space. By blending artistry and science, Pura lets users design their own “scentscapes” that enhance daily life and craft environments that feel as good as they smell.

Why Join Pura? Our journey began with two innovators and their shared vision of revolutionizing how we experience fragrance. Since then, Pura has grown into a company that continually pushes the boundaries of scent, partnering with iconic brands and earning recognition for fast growth and culture.

Your Role at Pura

We’re seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who thrives at the intersection of data, finance, and strategic thinking. You’ll partner with finance, operations, and product teams to build financial models, conduct performance analysis, and develop dashboards that guide critical business decisions. You will help us inspire belief in the power of fragrance to craft and elevate memorable moments for our Owners. This is your chance to make an impact in a high-growth company redefining how people experience scent.

What You’ll Own
  • Financial Modeling & Forecasting
    • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning efforts.
    • Perform variance analysis on actuals vs. forecast/budget across departments.
    • Develop scenario models to assess business decisions and risks.
    • Own Pigment modeling; design driver-based models, and build/own the ETL from DS1 into Pigment-required for PVM automation.
    • Govern metric definitions and reproducible queries; embed evidence links in variance explanations.
    • Industrialize data requirements and recurring reports for accounting accruals to improve cut-off accuracy and shorten close.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work with business leaders to translate analytical findings into actionable insights.
    • Assist Product and Strategy teams in understanding the financial impact of initiatives.
    • Support ad hoc business case development and ROI assessments.
    • Serve as the “front door” for ad-hoc data asks from Finance, limiting one-off pulls on Data Eng/BI.
  • Strategic Insights
    • Provide recommendations to leadership on improving efficiency and profitability.
    • Monitor KPIs and develop frameworks for tracking business performance.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities.
    • Build and maintain dashboards and financial reports using SQL, Excel, Looker, DOMO or Tableau.
    • Partner with Data Engineering to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
    • Automate NetSuite to DS1 tie-outs, reduce manual reconciliations.
    • Migrate Google Sheets ad-hoc models to governed BI (Domo/Tableau) and deliver exec-ready financial views.
    • DS1 is a nuanced, full financial dataset; act as DS1’s product owner for Finance.

  • Solid understanding of financial statements, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a structured problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills — ability to translate complex data into clear business insights
